Woke up to about 42 degrees party cloudy.

Day 10

Hi all,

  Today we head back to the USA and we will cut through Glacier National Park on The Road to the Sun.

Finally the USA border.

 

Inside Glacier National Park we go by St Mary's Lake, 9.9 miles long.

Further down the lake

The recent fire took a toll.

Up here the temp is about 37 and the wind about 20 MPH

We drop down a thousand feet and the wind lets up and the sun comes out. Of course, I'm here.

We spot this grouse crossing the road.

Where are all the glaciers?

Looking back up the valley.

We spot some mountain goats high above us.

The water in this mountain stream is as clear as can be.

Constant motion

This brook looks more like a swimming pool

We get to the other end of the road and to Whitefish Lake.

I tell Prilly that I found her a horse to ride.

As we roll into Kalispell Montana the sun is setting.

Tomorrow we start heading back to the West Coast.
